Getting Started

At CrossFit Athletic, our focus is on quality of instruction, safety and effectiveness. We offer one-on-one private, small, and large group training. Our group classes have skill level requirements to ensure that you get the most out of your training with us in addition to safety. Clients without experience in CrossFit training must complete an “On Ramp” Program or a series of personal training sessions. Clients with previous CrossFit experience can join classes immediately.

 1. Assessment

All newcomers to our program must undertake an assessment BEFORE starting our program. This is a 45min consultation with a coach that will involve a needs analysis, movement screening and postural assessment to determine what direction you will need to take. Either 2a or 3.

2.A  “On Ramp” Program

The “On Ramp” Class consists of 3 weekly sessions for 4 weeks for a total of 12 sessions. The class structure is carefully designed and instructed to prepare new clients for the more demanding classes to come. The “On Ramp” allows new member’s to be a part of the CrossFit Athletic community before you start your first group class. Coached by a CrossFit Athletic coach and delivered in small group sessions, “On Ramp” is designed to get you to your first WOD with the knowledge you need to be successful. These sessions consist of exercise instruction and practice, review, warm-up protocols, stretching protocols, and, of course, workouts! Instruction and workouts increase in complexity and intensity throughout the duration of the program, progressively improving your fitness and preparedness for the open classes. These classes are offered monthly; check our schedule for the next open class and to sign up.

2.B CrossFit Classes

Group Classes

Level 1 Group Classes

Following your “I AM CrossFit” or our “On Ramp” class, Level 1 is where you continue to develop your foundation of strength and general fitness, ultimately working towards mastering the skills to gain entry to our Level 2 group class. All athletes start here for at least 30 days.

Level 2 Group Classes is where your training enters the realm of sport and the competition begins. Classes are intense, challenging, and move quickly. They are not for the faint of heart! These classes are invitation only and require testing/prerequisites to gain admission.

 3. Personal Training

One-on-One Private Training
New clients can also prepare themselves to enter our CrossFit classes with our “I AM CrossFit” personal training option. This option allows for flexibility if you cant make the “On Ramp” class, it requires fewer sessions and can be scheduled at any time. Typically clients are ready after 4-8 sessions, depending on skill level and experience.

Small Group Personal Training
Personal training is available in a small group at a reduced rate.
